Canyon Lake Art Guild members who are not only successful artist but talented instructors have opened their studios to students with talent range from beginner to advanced.
“Grumbacher Certified Instructor S.E. Bland (Shirley) is now offering classes in landscape painting in both oil and acrylic media, Wednesdays, 10 – 12 a.m. or 1:30 – 3:30 p.m. (except for CLAG meeting dates), or Thursdays, same times. Each session is $25, and class size is limited to only four students. If you have questions or wish to be on the waiting list, please contact Shirley at sebland@gvtc.com or call 830.885.7476. All classes are held in my studio in Spring Branch, Tx.”

You are invited to Casa de Linda Art School next Thursday, the 26th, for a glass painting workshop. If you don’t want to paint wine glasses, you could bring your own water glasses or whatever strikes your fancy. They’re beautiful and they are fun to do. Call if you have questions.The workshop will go from 10:00 to noon, and you will finish four glasses in that time. Details are in the attached invitation. Come one, come all, but enroll soon. The class size is limited!

Liz Lautner offers individual instruction in Photography in her home in New Braunfels, TX. The sessions are "by appointment" at a time convenient to you and usually last 3 hours. Times available are 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. or 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 pm., Monday through Friday. A night session is available on request. The sessions cover basic photography and instruction using Adobe Elements 8/9. Each session is $25.00. The number of sessions depend on how fast you learn (usually 4 to 6). Call Liz at 830-625-2560.
Liz has had many years of experience and has studied under many different photographers. She has taken numerous awards in competitions, has had one best of show, and one of her photographs was on the Honorable Mention list of a Lucie Foundation in New York City competition.
Liz and fellow club member Marilyn Brinker are forming a photography club which will meet in New Braunfels beginning on the 2nd Tuesday of September, 2011. Call 830-625-2560 or elautner@satx.rr.com for information.
